Volunteer


Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Goa Center for Alternative Photography.

The Goa-CAP depends on a committed group of dedicated volunteers to fill a variety of positions and to participate in a wide range of events and projects. Training will be provided to all the volunteers who will have an opportunity to interact with national and international artists and learn about the alternative photography.

Research Assistant:

Goa Archival Project invites volunteers to investigate, conduct interviews, undertake research, take pictures, and organize communications with the photographers who have played significant role in Goa over many years.

Workshop Assistant:

The Center presents workshops and forums on a weekly basis.  Some workshop instructors need help setting up chairs and tables, preparing digital equipment for presentations, taking roll, collecting tuition and putting equipment away.  Volunteers interested in learning more about art and photography fit best into this position.  Hours and days

Darkroom Monitors:

Darkroom monitors must have at least an intermediate understanding of darkroom techniques.  Monitors will need to take a short training course to introduce them to the Center’s darkroom facilities.   Hours and days vary and may include nights and weekends.

Editors/Writers:

The Center produces documents, blogs, web content and other written content that needs to be reviewed and edited.  People with background in English and have strong verbal and written skills are needed for this position.  Hours and days scheduled with Center staff.

Volunteers will be appropriately acknowledged in the book and other publications that Goa-CAP intends to publish.
